This dungeon-crawler puts you in the shoes of a young woman on a quest to save her brother. To do that you’ll have to go through all 100 floors of the Dungeons of Dreadrock, with each one being a unique, handcrafted puzzle that will almost assuredly surprise and delight you.

Why you should play it

This premise and design of Dungeons of Dreadrock primes you to have low expectations. It takes all of the same tropes, set dressing, and structural design choices that you’ve seen in games 1,000 times over but uses them to create some of the most ingenious, mind-bending, and refreshing challenges you can imagine.

Why you might not play it

Dungeons of Dreadrock requires both some wit and some quick reflexes to pull off some of its challenges, which sometimes result in untimely deaths from missed swipes. Level restarts are instant, though, and with the game being free to try you can always test out how it feels before fully committing.
