Meteorfall: Krumit’s Tale
by Slothwerks
Released: Aug 27
$6.99

Meteorfall: Krumit’s Tale is a card-based roguelike featuring a chatty old Gobloid and some bizarre-but-charming artwork. As a follow up to Meteorfall: Journey, Krumit’s Tale expands its scope to the point that it feels like an evolutionary leap, and it's one with more than enough substance to match its unique style.

Why you should play it

Krumit’s Tale presents a new kind of roguelike that’s deep and satisfying on its own, but it’s also comprised of interlocking systems that allow for “mutated” modes, most of which can feel like playing an entirely different kind of game. An incredible sense of polish that makes it look great while allowing for convenient play in nearly any situation is the cherry on top of this truly special treat.

Why you might not play it

Coming from Meteorfall: Journey, Krumit’s Tale can be quite a shock. Even with no familiarity with Slothwerks games, this one appears rather shallow at first. But, once you begin unlocking new things and wrapping your mind around its systems, you’ll be excited to take on each new Daily Run or continue your personal quest to defeat the Uberlich.
